Muara Enim, South Sumatra – In an effort to strengthen its position as a leading coal logistics company in Indonesia, PT Swarnadwipa Dermaga Jaya (PT SDJ) – a subsidiary of PT Titan Infra Sejahtera – has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing excellent service to its customers. The addition of facilities at Jetty 3 of SDJ Port serves as tangible proof of the company’s strategy to enhance coal logistics infrastructure in South Sumatra.

As part of the PT Titan Infra Energy group, one of the key players in Indonesia’s mining, energy, and logistics sectors, PT SDJ plays a strategic role in ensuring smooth coal distribution from mining areas to ports. Key clients such as PT Bukit Asam (PTBA) have long been vital partners in this supply chain.

New Jetty 3 Facility Officially Launched

The inauguration of the new Jetty 3 facility on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, marked a significant step in expanding capacity and improving logistics efficiency. Suryo Suwignjo, Chief Operating Officer of PT Titan Infra Energy, stated that two barge loading conveyor units are now operational at Jetty 3.

“One conveyor is dedicated to PTBA, and the other to our other customers. However, if there is increased production from PTBA, both conveyors can be fully allocated for them,” said Suryo.

Infrastructure Support: Hauling Roads and Bridges

Beyond the port itself, infrastructure development is also being undertaken by PT Servo Lintas Raya (PT SLR), another subsidiary of PT Titan Infra Sejahtera. Several new bridges along the hauling road have been inaugurated to support smooth coal transportation from the mining area to the port.

These facilities are designed to ensure safety, efficiency, and convenience in logistics transport while also demonstrating the company’s concern for public road sustainability and the surrounding environment.

Responding to Coal Price Fluctuations

Despite the recent decline in global coal prices, PT Titan Infra Energy continues its expansion and innovation efforts with measured planning. According to Suryo, such fluctuations are part of the normal commodity cycle.

“We continue to innovate with careful planning. Although prices are down, coal demand remains fairly strong. This presents an opportunity to improve production and logistics efficiency,” he explained.

In terms of performance, the first five months of 2025 show a positive growth trend for PT Titan Infra Energy compared to the previous year. The company’s growing reputation and brand awareness in the coal industry are key assets in supporting its plan for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2025.

Long-Term Commitment and Government Support

During the same event, Victor B. Tanuadji, President Director of PT Swarnadwipa Dermaga Jaya, emphasized the importance of building new hauling roads. This project supports government policy to reduce congestion on public roads caused by coal transport.

“The construction of this hauling road will provide better access for coal producers and minimize social impact on public roads. It’s part of our mission to support sustainable logistics,” Victor explained.

Although the implementation of this infrastructure project faces various challenges, it has long been part of PT Titan Infra Sejahtera’s strategic plans. Full support from the government is expected to accelerate the development of this hauling road to improve national logistics efficiency.
